The Glühwürmchenhütte (Chalet Firefly) is a luxurious mountain retreat located in Styria, directly adjacent to the Hauereck ski area. The chalet is accessible all year round (snow chains recommended in winter). In winter, you can ski directly from the slopes to the chalet doorstep. A sledding slope is also conveniently located right next to the property.
In summer, cows graze peacefully around the chalet—fortunately without noisy cowbells—preserving the serene alpine tranquility. During winter, relax in the warm outdoor hot tub or enjoy the surrounding nature by the campfire.
Our water comes from a private high-mountain spring, ensuring excellent quality. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the chalet. If you seek peace, relaxation, and luxury in nature, Glowworm Chalet is the perfect choice!

Glowworm Chalet is a beautifully restored 17th-century hut with modern technical equipment and a cozy atmosphere. The romantic chalet was rebuilt in 2018 as a modern reinterpretation of a log cabin featuring an open design with large windows.
