Ski Slopes Open from Nov 30
Hauereck Opens Winter Season 2025/26
The Hauereck ski area has successfully kicked off the 2025/26 winter season. Since Sunday, November 30, 2025, the ski slopes have been officially open and are already attracting many winter sports enthusiasts from the region and beyond.
Thanks to consistently cold temperatures in the days leading up to the opening, the ski area team was able to make optimal use of technical snowmaking to create a solid base for the slopes. Intensive grooming work ensured that the runs were in excellent condition right from the start of the season. Numerous visitors took advantage of opening day to enjoy their first turns of the winter and soak up the authentic alpine atmosphere at Hauereck.
Hauereck is particularly valued for its family-friendly character. Clearly laid-out beginner areas, easily accessible slopes and cozy mountain huts make it an ideal destination for relaxed winter days and day trips. The on-site restaurants and huts have also opened in time for the season, welcoming guests with regional specialties and hot drinks.
Several highlights are planned for the coming weeks, including night skiing and special offers for children and beginners. Visitor safety remains a top priority: regular inspections and an experienced team ensure a safe and enjoyable skiing experience for everyone.
With its early opening at the end of November, Hauereck is well prepared for the new winter season and invites all ski and snow lovers to enjoy winter sports in the Styrian mountains.
